I was sleeping the day off after working night shift, and kept waking up to the sound of helicopters! At first I thought "Geez the lawnmower is loud".... I got out of bed at about 3pm after a pretty short restless sleep to discover a forest fire being faught not far from my house! The water bombers were making trips back and forth from the lake to the fire....here is a shot from my back deck...that is the neighbours roof! The plane looked MUCH closer than in this photo! A few hours later, the fire is out and the firetrucks started coming out of the bush as well! Scary when it's that close!
